Disney Countdown
My husband and I planned a long overdue honeymoon for ourselves in Disney World. To commemorate the wait, I created a Mickey Mouse themed cake. I made a standard chocolate cake and chose to torte the cake. I filled and iced the cake with standard buttercream. The sides are white with a red buttercream ribbon around the bottom with small blue buttercream pearls as a bottom border. The top of the cake was airbrushed a golden yellow color around the edges, framing the Mickey Mouse buttercream transfer image. I added black scrolls with Mickey ear additions and red pearl accents. The top has a matching small blue buttercream pearl border. The cake is a 1/4 sheet cake and serves 24 people.

50 Years of Love
This cake was ordered by a woman for her parents 50th wedding anniversary. She wanted something simple, beautiful, and traditional. The cake is vanilla with lemon curd filling and iced in almond buttercream. The buttercream roses are airbrushed gold. The side has a simple ruffle in gold and white. To offset the amount of gold, I did the shell borders in white buttercream. The cake is a 1/2 sheet cake and serves 54 people.

A New Addition
This cake was made for our new nephew. I chose this for the first time they brought the baby over for a visit. The cake is vanilla with vanilla buttercream filling and frosting. This cake was made from an 8" round cake and serves 10 people.
