Wedding Cakes
From classic and rustic to everything in between!
A Rustic Fall Wedding
This cake was created for my sister's wedding. We did three tiers, completely gluten-free. We alternated flavors from chocolate to vanilla, and back to chocolate. The entire cake was iced and filled with vanilla buttercream icing. We used milk chocolate to create the chocolate lace surrounding each tier. In addition, we placed small white candy pearls on the chocolate lace. Rather than a traditional buttercream border, we used larger white candy pearls around the bottom of each tier. To finish the cake and give it a beautiful rustic feel, we added fresh cream and burgundy roses at the top tier, cascading down the entire cake. This cake was an 8" square top, a 12" square center, and a 16" square base. This cake served 200 people.

A Warm Summer Wedding
This cake was created for my husband's friend's wedding. We did three tiers a different flavor. The top was red velvet, the middle was chocolate, and the bottom tier was vanilla. The entire cake was iced and filled with vanilla buttercream icing. In addition, we placed small white candy pearls around the cake tiers. Rather than a traditional buttercream border, we used Malibu Blue ribbon with a buttercream teardrop border. The tiers were off-set to add a more modern feel to the cake. To finish the cake and give it a little more color, we added fresh cream, pink, and red roses at the top tier, cascading down the entire cake. This cake was a 6" square top, a 10" square center, and a 14" square base. This cake served 150 people.

Dia De Los Muertos
This cake was created as a show piece. This is a dummy rice crispie cake covered in fondant. The roses are gumpaste roses that have been airbrushed and dusted with edible coloring. The skull was molded by hand. The skull and the cake board were covered in a layer of fondant and hand painted with edible paints to look like a sugar skull. The stenciling on the side and borders are royal icing. The tiers are a 9" round and a 6" round. This cake would serve 48 people.
